Talking about Minato Kanae(湊佳苗) , your first reaction maybe "who is he/she ?"But if I refer to her work that makes her famous,you may have heard or even read this novel or watch the movie that based on her work.What the name of this work so popular?It's name is"告白"

At the beginning,Minato Kanae(湊佳苗) was just a house wife who did her housework everyday like the other housewife,however,one day,she find this is not the life she want to pursue so she picked up her pen and wrote down the stories that has been in her brain since she was a kid.

Afterward,her first detective novel was publish and make a hit,henceforward,she make up her mind to be a professional writer,writing down more and more interesing stories and bringing us more and more surprise.

Talking about detective novels,most people may associate it with logical spectulation and crimes contain complicated mental factors.Actualy,the things I referred above is not only the stereotype of detecitve novels but also the truth that cannot be changed.However,it isn't meaning that detective novels and their authors will be static and inactive forever,contrary,the creators of the mysteries and those odd crimes are evolving continuously.

Mori Hiroshi (森 博嗣),as a Ph.D and teacher in college,he take advantages of the circumstance in the college,write down detective novels that based on college life,using his professional knowledge and put his science knowledge into his novels.In his detective novels,the main characters always are the teacher and students in the college,they will make use of their brilliant brains and abundant knowledge to solve the hard problem which isn't the exercise on the textbooks but the murder planned for long time or the crimes cover by the sophisticated mind.All of those make his detective novels interesting and -- make you feel more real.

The Queen of Crime : Agatha Christie

In the articles I posted two weeks ago,I have introduced some people that make the detective novel world more vital,in order words,they are the reformers in recent decades.Today,I would like to introduced another person who is also played the critical role but was much important in the history of the detective novel world.

Yep,the one I am coming to introduce now is Agatha Christie,who is one of the vanguards in the detective world.
Talking about Agatha Christie,there is a genre of detective novel must be concerned,that is the well-known type of detective novels,which is called closed circle(暴風雨山莊),in this type of detective novels,the story always happen in the circumstance where is disconnected from the outside world,all  the stories begin in the closed place and end in the closed place,too.the detective or the main characters have to find who is the murder(s) in the most tough background.
Of course,it is not only the hard work for the characters in the fiction world,it is also a difficult mission to the author,however, Agatha Christie,who was called "The Queen of Crime",used this way to wrote her detective novels many times,this way makes her become famous writer because her careful mind and the exact murder embed with enough clue.So the name of "The Queen of Crime" is absolute not a empty reputation.

When the ghosts meet detecitve:Kyogoku Natsuhiko(京極夏彥)

In any domain,you will find it is not too hard to find a distinct one that is much different from the other people,this phenomenon is also appeared in the detecitve world.

If I have to choose the most unique one in the japanese detective novel world,I will choose Kyogoku Natsuhiko(京極夏彥),the one who is called the only one in his genre.

 The ghost has played a critical role in the japanese culture for a long time,Kyogoku Natsuhiko(京極夏彥) has take advantage of this characteristic in his detective novels.

 In his novels,the events are always connected to the japanese traditional ghost stories,under the surface of the ghost stories,it is surprised to know that the events are actually the murders.

The new blood in Japanese detective world:Otsuichi(乙一)

In any domain,there isn't short of new blood to refresh the whole group.One of the guys that make the Japanese detective world more active is the young guy - Otsuichi(乙一)

Born in 1978,as one of the youngest Japanese writer,he doesn't just write detective novels but also involve in other parts of literary,such as light novels and essays,so when you compare his words with other detective novelists,you will find that on his detective novel,his words are more sensitimental and more affectable.

 When he was 17,he has won the award in order to honor young detective novelist by his first detective novel - Goth,the event of cut hand.

 The most obvious point of his features is that his novels is dark and tragic,this is not only in his detective novels buy also could detect in his other books,it's may be effected by his wide range in writing,I believe he will do another great in the Japanese literature world by his wide range in writing and amazed all of us at some time.

    Although detective novels traced from Europe and America,it isn't meaning that mysteries only serviced for them.
    In 1920s,a man guided the japanese detective novel jumped on to the world stage,he is Edogawa Ranpo(江戶川亂步),who use  Edgar Allan Poe as his english name to memorized the vanguard of this domain.He left a lot of ideas that not only inspired the latter detective novelist but also used in some manga.

 Not only the character but also the style, Edogawa Ranpo(江戶川亂步) affected many sides in the japanese detective novels, one of the features is that their detective novels always like a big puzzle or even a quiz and finally announced who is the murderer.
Talking about japanese novelist,there is a person that I shouldn't ignore because he is the one of most successful modern detective novelists whose books have already adopt into TV series and movies.He is Higashino Keigo(東野圭吾),I can bet that once you walk into a bookstore,you must find his name on the bookshelfs with a lot of his novels.One of the reason that make he so popular is that his works are added in many reality factor,some of the murders like may happen around us,this factor make his detective novels much attractive.

Talking about the concept of detective fictions,it can be traced to very long time ago such as the fable stories in ancient China and Arabia,but the real detective novel  didn't appear until the early 18th century.At that time,the well-known American author Edgar Allan Poe wrote down the novel 《The Murders in the Rue Morgue》,which was generally considered as the first detective novel in the world.

However,this fiction was just looked as a horror novel at the beginning.It was identified as the first detective novel after Edgar Allan Poe died due to the appearance of the spirit character of detective novel - the professional detective.

Afterward,more and more detective novels appeared and was widely spread,the next 100 years many excellent detective novels were created and a lot of detective novelists became household,like the creator of the Sherlock Holmes - Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle and "The Queen of the Crime" - Agatha Christie.
